
Rail Trail to Downtown Connector Construction First Look
It was a warm Sunday evening on February 24, 2019, and I decided to take a bike ride from my home to Tift Park to see the progress on the construction of the Rail Trail to Downtown Connector construction. I was glad to see the new concrete trail in the park across from the Albany Parks and Recreation building. The
I made my way to North Jefferson and turned south and headed towards Phoebe Hospital. I stopped at Fourth Avenue to take another picture of the trail.
After finding the end of the construction going south from Tift Park I decided to turn around and ride my bike north to see where the construction started. I

Rail Trail to Downtown Connector North Monroe Street and Eleventh Street in front of the Albany City of Albany Public works Department
The construction of the paved trail starts at the intersection of North Monroe Street and Hodges Avenue. I am excited to see the trail construction in person.
