Jacquelyn Teemer is the Business Development Manager/Interim Downtown Manager for the City of Albany. As a native of Albany, Jacquelyn’s career goal has been to bring economic opportunities to a progressive community by incorporating an asset-based approach to economic development. Currently, Jacquelyn is making valuable contributions to Downtown Albany and other economic development initiatives. She is also responsible for the Downtown marketing initiatives, policy development, strategic analysis, and small business advising.
Jacquelyn received her Masters degree in Urban Studies from Old Dominion University and followed with a second Masters from Albany State University in Public Administration. She began working with the City of Albany in 2009, and has since worked in various economic and business development positions. Her success is driven by her unbounded desire to build businesses and communities. Mrs. Teemer is in the 2014 Class of SWGA’s “40 Under 40” and a member of the 2016 class of Leadership Albany. She is also serving in the Spring 2018 class of Georgia Forward’s Young Gamechangers.
Jacquelyn is married to Kenya Teemer and they have three sons; Kaaja, Kenya Jr., and Jackson.
